Hi All,

Thanks for your interest in my pet portrait photography, here’s some information so that you know what to expect from one of my portrait experience sessions.

Big Vizsla, small Vizsla

But first I would like to thank you for taking part and making the donation.

‘Jason Allison Fine Art Photography’ has only one employee, yes that’s me! I started my portrait business to enjoy it and I’m certainly doing that, I love animals, dogs in particular and although I also photograph families and children (and do a little commercial work), pets are the majority of my day to day business.

My portrait work

Hopefully you can appreciate the experience, time and effort and originality of my portrait images, a lifetime worth of photography has brought me to this point in my life. I want the portrait quality to be the best, I regularly enter competitions with my pet images which I believe pushes my photography and editing to new heights. Thanks for the support. 🙂

My Portrait experience for dogs

My portrait experience is most definitely not a quick ‘in and out’ affair, plenty of time is given for your lovely dog to relax and settle in to my studio surroundings. I really feel this helps to get the perfect portrait of your dog. During this chill-out time we can have a general chat about what portrait ‘poses’ you prefer, and we’ll have a coffee, tea or juice and I’ll also take the opportunity to show you what is available with regard to Wall Portrait styles and products.

The studio has a comfortable lounge area and we let your dog roam free and have a good sniff about. 🙂

Proud Bodie

During the session, we take our time, if I feel your dog needs a break we take 5, don’t get stressed, take it easy on him/her we will always get the portrait shot no matter what happens, patience is the name of the game, it’s all good.

After the portrait session

This is where the long hours are put in (at the computer) and this is what limits the quantity of portraits I can take on, for every hour portrait session there is approximately 4 hours + of editing, extra care is taken on making the portraits unique and with my own fine-art feel. Depending on my workload the viewing session will be arranged normally 1-2 weeks after the portrait session.

Portrait Head-shot

The viewing session

You come back to my studio for the second time, refreshments and popcorn supplied (if you wish) along with your favourite soundtrack if you request one! The viewing session is where we relax and look at the portraits of your pal, again don’t expect this to be over quick, we will run through the photographs, select the ones you like and work together on choosing the right images for those perfect places in your home.

Portraits start from as little as £90 (£75 if purchased at the first viewing)  for a desk frame up to £760 (£640 if purchased at the first viewing) for the huge Aluminium, I always offer further discounts on multiple purchases and bigger deal packages are available. Last months average client purchase was £400.
Digital media packs are available to purchase in addition to some wall portrait purchases so that you can share with friends and family online.

Once you’ve selected the portraits you love and you make your purchase, I will take payment I get to work on finalising your portraits images and preparing for the creation of your unique wall portraits. I aim to have the portraits built and ready to collect in around 3-4 weeks. Larger wall portraits need extra care with final editing and may take longer but I will advise of this at time of ordering.

I hope this information has helped, I try and book you in within 2-3 weeks from when you contact me and the portrait fee is paid to secure the session, normally by bank transfer.

If you have any more questions please let me know, I’m happy to help.

Look forward to making a unique portrait of your dog very soon!
